Hapag-Lloyd will raise rates for all cargo and container types on three of its trade routes, as of June 15.
- From East Asia to the Caribbean, the east coast of Central America and Panama, the hike will be $700 per 20-foot container and $1,000 per 40-foot container.
- From East Asia to Mexico, the west coast of Central America and the west coast of South America, the increase will be $750 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.
- From East Asia to the east coast of South America, the hike will be $500 per TEU.
The container line will also revise terminal handling charges in all French ports, effective July 1.
