Hapag-Lloyd said it will increase its rates on the westbound trade from India Zone 1 and Pakistan by $250 per TEU, effective Feb. 1.
The change is applicable for all shipments to North Europe and the Mediterranean (excluding South and West Africa), the company said. India Zone 1 comprises the West Coast ports of India (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Delhi) and all inland container depot locations moving via the ports of Nhava Sheva and Mundra and Pakistan.
North Europe comprises the Northwest Continent, the U.K., Scandinavia, Baltic and European ports of Russia.
Mediterranean comprises the West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa.
