THE G6 Alliance and Zim have selected Shenzhen's Da Chan Bay terminal for its tranpacific New Asia-US East Coast Service (SCE), the terminal operator announced.
The SCE's maiden call came with the arrival of the 4,839-TEU Zim Virginia which berthed at Da Chan Bay on May 19.
The G6 Alliance partners will deploy four vessels, including two ships from OOCL, one from NYK and one from Hapag-Lloyd. Zim will deploy five ships. Other G6 Alliance members, Hyundai, MOL and APL will take slots.
The SCE Service will call at Da Chan Bay every Saturday, following a port rotation of Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Da Chan Bay, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian (Panama), Manzanillo, Kingston, Savannah, Charleston, Kingston, Manzanillo and back to Xiamen.
