The 7th and 8th Boeing 777-200 freighters ordered by China Southern Airlines were delivered.
Both new aircraft flew from Seattle to Tianjin, China, for Customs clearance.
The 7th B777F made its maiden flight on the Shanghai-Zhengzhou-Anchorage-Chicago-Shanghai route. The other new aircraft arrived in Guangzhou and was used on the Guangzhou-Chongqing-Amsterdam-Guangzhou route.
With these two new freighters, China Southern’s B777F fleet will expand to eight. In late September, China Southern will launch the new freighters to new routes such as Guangzhou-Hangzhou-Los Angeles-Guangzhou, and will increase the frequency of its existing operation to the U.S., Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
