London Gateway welcomes Safmarine's maiden call on NE/SA service

DP WORLD's London Gateway terminal welcomed the 5,057-TEU Safmarine Nokwanda, one of eight similar-sized vessels deployed on the weekly service from North Europe to South Africa carrying fruit and wine. Safmarine, a founding member of the South Africa Europe Container Service (SAECS), which includes Maersk and MOL and Deutsche Africa-Linien (DAL), will upgrade its current panamax vessels of 6,500-7,000 TEUs in the first quarter of 2014.
