Pacific International Lines (PIL) and NileDutch will jointly provide a weekly service between Asia and West Africa.
The first sailing of the new service, called SW3/FEWA, will commence from Xingang in mid-May.
Both Singapore-based PIL and Rotterdam-based NileDutch independently provide dedicated container shipping services from Asia to West Africa. However, the combined service will provide direct weekly coverage from North, Central and South China to South Africa, Angola and Congo with total 13 Panamax vessels (nine NileDutch vessels and four PIL vessels).
The port rotation of the SW3/FEWA service is Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Durban, Cape Town, Pointe Noire, Luanda, Singapore, Xingang.
The extensive feeder network serving the West African coast provides rapid connections to other ports in the region.
