Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo strengthens its partnership with Envirotainer to serve the pharmaceutical market; Emirates SkyCargo has entered into a premium partnership agreement with Envirotainer; and Kuehne+Nagel has achieved accreditation at 29 stations for Envirotainer’s QEP program.
Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo has extended its partnership with Envirotainer to serve the pharmaceutical market with active temperature controlled air cargo solutions.
According to Envirotainer’s vice president of sales, Martin Peter, Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo is Envirotainer’s biggest customer and partner.
Stéphane Lemaire, Pharma Industry director of Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo, said that the carriers’ dedicated product range for the pharmaceutical industry, Variation Pharma, ensures the strictest temperature control through the use of Envirotainer’s equipment.
Emirates SkyCargo has joined Envirotainer’s exclusive list of premium partner carriers, with a new agreement that provides Emirates SkyCargo with a dedicated Envirotainer account manager, broad access to R&D and consulting services, as well as high levels of flexibility to ship across both companies’ networks and beyond.
Emirates SkyCargo has co-operated with Envirotainer since 2003, and the carrier has established specific handling procedures to protect temperature-controlled shipments.
This announcement coincides with Envirotainer’s decision to make Dubai one of its network stations. Envirotainer stations are authorised to provide full maintenance support for their products and house a larger stock of containers leading to easy access for all Emirates SkyCargo customers.
Kuehne+Nagel is the first freight forwarding and logistics organisation to gain accreditation at multiple stations for Envirotainer’s Qualified Envirotainer Provider (QEP) program, part of its ongoing commitment to meet the strict quality requirements of the healthcare industry.
Envirotainer’s QEP initiative uses comprehensive training and auditing modules to establish processes and procedures that can be used by all logistics providers. These are based on practical input gained from Envirotainer’s years of experience of temperature-sensitive shipments and working with major pharmaceutical companies, airlines and logistics providers.
Kuehne+Nagel has already completed the technical training program and has been awarded QEP accreditation at 29 stations in Europe (Brussels, Basel, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Glasgow, London, Milan, Paris, Stockholm and Vienna) and North America (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Columbus/Ohio, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, San Juan, Mexico City, Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg).
In line with its commitment to gaining worldwide QEP accreditation across its network, the company will also roll out the program at its locations in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and South America.
