CHINA Southern Airlines, the largest airline on the mainland, has announced plans to commence four new international routes this month, from Guangzhou to Yangon, Phuket, Siem Reap and Vientiane.
The new services to Yangon and Vientiane are the first services operated by China Southern to Burma and Laos. The launch of the new routes will bring the number of China Southern's international and regional routes to 86.
The airline also plans to open a direct flight route between Guangzhou and Delhi in September, bringing the total number of south east Asian countries that China Southern reaches to 12, a company statement said.
From Guangzhou passengers will be able to connect to flights to major cities in America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
Flight CZ3055 began operatesthe Guangzhou-Yagon route on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. An Airbus A319 will depart from Guangzhou at 0850 hrs and arrive in Yangon at 1030 hrs.
On the return leg, flight CZ3056, will take off from Yagon on the same days at 1130 hrs and return to Guangzhou at 1600 hrs.
Flight CZ3051 departs from Guangzhou on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2230 hrs and arrive in Phuket at 0045 hrs.
On the return leg, flight CZ3052 will take off from Phuket on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 0130 hrs and touch down in Guangzhou at 0550 hrs.
From July 11, flight CZ3053, will depart from Guangzhou on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2230 hrs for Siem Riep in Cambodia and arrive there at 0005 hrs.
Flight CZ3054 will leave Siem Reap on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 0205 hrs and land in Guangzhou at 0550 hrs.
From July 12 service to Vientiane will depart Guangzhou on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 0850 hrs and flight CZ3057 will land in Vientiane at 1020 hrs.
Return flight CZ 3058 will take off from Vientiane on the same days at 1120 hrs and arrive in Guangzhou at 1440 hrs.
