K-Line has decided to place an order for ten new 4,500 TEU containerships with Hyundai Heavy Industries, for delivery beginning 2010.
This particular type vessel has been newly designed by HHI based on K-Line’s requirements.
The vessels will be deployed throughout K-Line’s network, including East-West Trunk line trades, West-South Asia service and North-South trade in a move to cater to increasing cargo movements and improve the K-Line’s service quality and competitiveness, these new 4,500 TEU vessels will replace the carrier’s current 3,500 TEU containerships.
