British Airways World Cargo has renewed its wet-lease agreement with from Global Supply Systems (GSS) covering its three Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft.
The lease has been extended for another five years.The largest-ever freighter investment by BA, the deal represents more than $1 billion in total operating costs.
Earlier in the year, BAWC increased the number of its short-haul freighter services by 40%, to deliver a total of 45 weekly wide-body services across eleven European destinations.
The carrier also launched two new weekly Boeing 727 freighter routings from Pakistan (Karachi - Bahrain and Lahore - Bahrain) in June 2007.
