Authorities at southern Argentina's Puerto Madryn port plan to invest US$42.1 million in the improvement and development of the port's Almirante Storni terminal.
Works will include a $3.84 million project for foundation works at the port's 30-year old Almirante Storni terminal, which handles container and fishing ships, and trade operations related to local aluminum producer Aluar, said Román.
The entity is also working on a $38.4 million initiative to repair the berth's piles, he said.
Due to the size of this investment, port officials expect financial support from the Chubut provincial government, as well as from the national government to cover the projects' costs.
