Rickmers-Linie has selected Tioga Marine as its new terminal in Philadelphia; K-Line and MOL have upgraded their container service between Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America.
Hamburg-based Rickmers-Linie has announced that its vessels will be calling at Tioga Marine Terminal in Philadelphia for both loading and discharging, effective January 1, 2008.
Operated by Delaware River Stevedores, the multi-purpose terminal has six berths with a water depth of 11.5 metres, a total quay length of 1,100 metres, and 39 hectares of storage capacity.
K-Line and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) have announced that the Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America container service called “New ANDES” will improve port coverage by adding direct calls at Qingdao, effective November 22nd.
The Qingdao hinterland in Shandong province is considered to have the highest growth potential in North China in terms of export cargo production, import cargo processing and local consumption.
The new port rotation will be: Hong Kong > Chiwan > Xiamen > Shanghai > Qingdao > Pusan > Manzanillo (Mexico) > Buenaventura (Colombia) > Callao (Peru) > Iquique (Chile) > Valparaiso ( Chile) > Lirquen (Chile) > Yokohama > Keelung > Hong Kong.
