Evergreen starting Taiwan/Vietnam shuttle

Taiwanese carrier Evergreen Line will Friday start a weekly shuttle service between the ports of Kaohsiung in its home country and Haiphong in Vietnam.   The Kaohsiung-Haiphong Shuttle Service (KHP) will use one 580-TEU vessel, Dong Du.    “With Vietnam’s increasing growth and further potential business activities, our new service is responding to the demands of customers in order to support this emerging market," said a company spokesman in a statement.   Evergreen has five service centers in Vietnam located in Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Hanoi, Da Nang and Qui Nhon.   American Shipper
