CCNI, Hamburg Süd calling Lázaro Cárdenas

7/17/2008 10:25:42 AM

Chile's CCNI and German carrier Hamburg Süd are set to switch calls in Mexico on their joint Far East/North and South America China Express Service/ASPA 1 from Manzanillo to Lázaro Cárdenas.

The 2,532-TEU Cap Carmel, which departed Yokohama on July 10, is scheduled to make the first southbound call at Lázaro Cárdenas Aug. 5.

The service uses 10 ships of about 3,100 TEUs with a sailing frequency of about every seven days. The revised port rotation is: Yokohama, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Lázaro Cárdenas, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Iquique, Mejillones, Valparaiso, Lirquen, Lázaro Cárdenas, and back to Yokohama.

The two carriers' second string in the trade, North Asia Express/ASPA 2, continues to call at Manzanillo in Mexico.
