UPS to open two $180m transport hubs in China

8/14/2008 9:48:49 AM

United Parcel Service (UPS) will be opening two US$180 million transport hubs in China and plans to increase staff by at least 1,000 annually over the next three to four years, Reuters reported.

The company has already doubled its staff in China over the past 18 months to around 5,300.

UPS is attempting to expand its operations beyond the US market that currently accounts for more than half of its revenue. China remains a relatively untapped market for delivery services.
