Sunway City plans to set up an inland regional cargo hub near Harare, Zimbabwe handling both inbound and outbound cargo through rail, road and air networks, the company says.
To ease any tensions with the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe over the CAA's air cargo hub development at Harare, Sunway City says it will ship some cargo via the city’s airport.
The inland port will measure about 1600 hectares, in line with the general Export Processing Zone plan along the main Harare/Mutare railway line and highway, and will incorporate a high-tech park, light industries, warehouse, office park, terrace factories and ancillary facilities.
