Bosnia-Herzegovinian B&H Airlines has started an air connection between Sarajevo and Düsseldorf. There are two flights per week. Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, is a new destination in the flight plan of Düsseldorf International.
Every Tuesday and Saturday at 5.55 p.m. B&H Airlines take off from Düsseldorf and land after a flight time of just over 2 hours in Sarajevo. The return flight from Sarajevo starts at 2.55 p.m. and arrives at 5.05 p.m. in Düsseldorf. A Boeing 737-400 and an ATR 72 are used on this route.
B&H Airlines emerged from the former Air Bosnia, the state-owned airline of the federation Bosnia-Herzegovina, which holds about 51 per cent of the airline's shares today. 49 per cent of the shares are owned by Turkish Airlines.
With some 300,000 inhabitants, Sarajevo is not only the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, but also the administrative, economic, cultural and scholarly focus of the Balkan State.
