Swiss WorldCargo expands its Nordic Countries network this week with the introduction of two daily scheduled services to Oslo.
Operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, the flights will provide about two tonnes of cargo capacity a day to and from Norway’s capital, the Swiss carrier said in a statement.
A major shipping nation with a high dependence on international trade, the country is essentially an exporter of raw materials and semi-processed goods.
The country is richly endowed with natural resources including oil, hydro power, fish, forests and minerals. It is also currently among the world’s top five exporters in the seafood, crude oil and shipping services sectors, and has significant market shares in the light metals and ship equipment fields as well as in a number of maritime services.
The after sales services of the Norwegian industries require complimentary time-sensitive and high value cargo services. “Our investment in our new Oslo route highlights our trademark focus on care-intensive air cargo solutions,” the statement said.
