Wizz Air opens new route from Bratislava to Rome

Wizz Air, the largest low cost low fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe has announced that the Company would be entering Slovakia by operating flights between Bratislava and Rome 4 times a week initially, starting from 20 September 2009.    “Slovakia has always been on our horizon. We believe that now is the time to step up and benefit from the arising opportunities on the market. This is the first step, many more to follow.” – said John Stephenson, Executive Vice President of Wizz Air.   One way all inclusive fares start from as low as EUR 19.99. Wizz Air carried over 6,5 million passengers in the last 12 months. The airline's fleet is currently consisting of 25 Airbus A320 aircraft operating from 11 bases in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Air Transport News
