Qantas Freight will add a fourth US city to its freighter network, with the start of service to Dallas, Texas from August 6th.
According to Qantas Freight executive manager Stephen Cleary, the addition of Dallas to the airline's US network, which also includes Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, is part of a long-term plan to strengthen Qantas Freight's presence in key markets.
He said that demand for airfreight between Texas and Australia is well established, and Qantas will offer customers a competitive advantage with the only direct operation. The service will also give customers in Shanghai one-stop access to markets in the southern US.
The new service will operate as QF7581 between Shanghai and Chicago, and then as QF7550 from Chicago via Dallas to Sydney.
