American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Charleston International Airport (CHS) and Miami International Airport (MIA), beginning Nov. 19. American Eagle will operate the service with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.
"We're delighted to expand our service to Charleston, offering our customers convenient connections through Miami to 14 destinations throughout Florida, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Latin America," said American Eagle President and CEO Peter Bowler. "With the significant military presence in the Charleston area, this will provide even greater access for visitors to and from the Charleston Air Force Base, naval weapons station Charleston, as well as The Citadel Military College."
