Nepal Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharat Singh Bhandari said the government will purchase seven planes within the next five years, Xinhua reported.
"The government is supporting the deal to buy the planes," in line with the Nepal Year 2011 tourism campaign, Bhandari said.
Boeing and Airbus have submitted bids for the tender. The government will finalise the bidding process by the end of this month, he said, adding that there wouldn't be obstacles in the government's plan to buy the planes.
