MOL said it will apply a peak-season surcharge on bills of lading for all shipments from Europe and the Mediterranean to Asia.
The surcharge will be $100 per 20-foot container for all types of containers. It will become effective starting on all shipments from Nov. 1 until Dec. 31.
The affected countries of loading will be: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Czech rep, Slovenia, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Ireland, France, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Italy, Greece, Moldavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Spain (including the Canary Islands), Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus and Malta.
The affected countries of discharge will be: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China (including Hong Kong & Macau), Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan, Laos and Brunei.
