EVA Air Cargo reintroduced its freighter service to Vienna on March 18, 2010. The carrier is operating a Boeing 747-400 freighter on a Taipei–Delhi–Vienna route inbound and via Vienna-Brussels-Delhi-Taipei on its return to Asia. The dedicated cargo flights arrive in the Vienna Airport on Thursday and Sunday at 11:10 a.m. (11:10), unload and reload in only two hours, and depart at 1:10 p.m. (13:10).
With these two flights a week, EVA is giving freighter and logistics markets in Austria and neighboring Central and Eastern European countries a total of 36-to-60 additional tons of air cargo capacity. At the same time, the carrier is continuing to provide 24-to-36 tons of belly space a week on its three passenger flights. By adding the dedicated freighters, EVA has significantly expanded the region’s export capacity.
