Cathay Pacific Airways has announced a new code-share arrangement with LAN Peru that will add Lima, the capital city of Peru, to its network and further enhance the airline’s coverage in Latin America. This is the fourth Latin American destination to be added to the Cathay Pacific network in 2010.
The new arrangement will be effective from the first departure from Peru on 13 December, subject to government approval.
The code-share will see the “CX” code go on LAN Peru’s flights between Lima and two of Cathay Pacific’s North American gateway cities: Los Angeles and San Francisco. At the same time, LAN Peru’s “LA” code will be placed on Cathay Pacific services between Hong Kong and the two US gateways.
