On 23 April 23, 2011, Saigon Premier Container Terminal - SPCT organized the SPCT tennis tournament 2011 at Van Thanh resort. It was the first time SPCT held the tennis tournament with the enthusiastic participation of man athletes in couple from 13 international shipping lines, Hiep Phuoc customs and Tan Thuan Industrial Promotion Company (IPC) – a partner of SPCT.
On this occasion, shipping companies and SPCT had a good time to make the relationship closer. The vibrant and exciting matches completed with first prize belonging to men’s doubles from P O Shipping Co., second prize and third prize belonging to COSCO and Evergreen Line.

SPCT - The DP World-operated container terminal, which is located along the western shore of the Soai Rap River on 40 hectares in the Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, is a state of the art facility which began operations in October 2009. Its official opening on 30th Jan 2010. SPCT is a joint venture between DP World and IPC Tan Thuan 80:20.

In Jan 2010, SPCT set a new Vietnamese vessel handling productivity record of 107.4 Berth Moves per Hour (BMPH) on a vessel exchange off 996 containers load and discharge, and consistently operates at 30+MPH / crane on all vessels.
