Chilean ocean carrier CSAV will implement a general rate increase on westbound shipments from India to Europe, starting Aug. 15.
The proposed increase on dry and refrigerated cargo will be $200 per 20-foot container.
“The GRI will apply to all cargo moving from India to North Europe, North Africa, East/West Mediterranean and Black Sea region,” CSAV India said.
CSAV’s move follows a series of similar GRI announcements by other major operators on Asia-Europe trade lanes, including CMA-CGM, Mediterranean Shipping Company, Hapag-Lloyd and Zim Integrated Shipping Services.
