El Al cancels direct flights to Sao Paulo, Brazil

El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. which has operated, during the last two years, three weekly flights between Sao Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport / GRU and Tel Aviv - Ben Gurion International / TLV, has announced that it is canceling its direct flights to Sao Paulo as from November 10, 2011. El Al said that the route was being cancelled due to the high cost of jet fuel following global price rises in fuel. The announcement, made by El Al President and CEO, Eliezer Shkedi came two and a half years after introducing the direct flights to Brazil.   Port2Port
