Vinafco will inaugurate three new Distribution Centres across the country in 2011

Vinafco will open three distribution centres across Vietnam as part of its 2011 investment strategy, to meet the growing demand from  existing customers and potential clients.This is the latest information from the project management department of Vinafco.

 

Since 2010, Vinafco has been building a chain of modern warehouses, as well as upgrading older warehouses, strategically located across the main economic regions of Vietnam, linking with the  National Highway network. (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho - Hau Giang). To complement this investment in infrastructure, the warehouses are equipped with a balanced mix of high standard  selective and drive-in racking, served by a fleet of the latest electric MHE equipment from Germany. The warehouses are suitable for storage of food, high-tech and other high value products. Vinafco is committed to establishing  high quality operations, utilizing Best-of-Breed Management Information Technology (WMS, TMS, GPS) exploited by a team of dynamic, young Supply Chain experts  founded on international class HS&E standards (Health, Safety & Environment). Vinafcos’ strategy is focused on developing modern distribution centres and logistics parks able to  supply comprehensive logistics solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients.  Up until September 2011, Vinafco has completed construction of warehouses in Thanh Tri (Hanoi), Song Than (Binh Duong) and in the Hoa Cam Industrial Zone (Da Nang).

 

The Thanh Tri Logistics Park project, with a total investment of over 120 Billion VND has completed construction of Phase I which includes 02 warehouses in an area of 4ha. Operational since April 2011, the first warehouse reached full capacity immediately after being put in use, the second warehouse sold out by September 2011. Phase II of the Thanh Tri project will continue to expand warehouse systems and services supporting the complete model Logistics Centre (Logistics Park), scheduled for completion in 2012.

 

The Da Nang Distribution Centre project, with a total investment of 129 Billion VND is located in an area of 4.5 ha inside the Hoa Cam IZ, set in a convenient location for distribution of goods to Da Nang city, Central Highlands and the East-West economic corridor. This project plays an important role in Vinafco’s ambition to cover the central region of Vietnam.

 

The Binh Duong Distribution Centre project, with a total investment of 104 Billion VND, has an area of ​​1.4 ha strategically located to connect to distribution networks in Ho Chi Minh City with major distribution and manufacturing centres of Binh Duong (VSIP IZ, My Phuoc IZ), Bien Hoa IZ – Dong Nai, the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands. Mr. Bui Tuong Hieu - Director of Business Development, Vinafco said "Not only are we dedicated to serving our existing customers, we also focus on new potential customers in key industries that required responsive delivery of logistics services provider (LSP). While the projects are under construction  our experts have begun advising clients offering solutions in  Warehouse Design, Order Fulfillment, Goods Management, and Operations Management. We have also started  testing of Best-of-Breed warehouse management system software, deployed in our warehouse system since September 2011".Expected at the end of this year, two warehouse projects in Binh Duong and Da Nang will be put in use in part and officially inaugurated in early 2012. In addition, from 2012, when Phase II of all the warehouse projects is completed, Vinafco will be able to provide warehousing services under GMP standards, meeting the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers, which are very stringent.
