Gulftainer Welcomes CMA CGM Alexander Von Humboldt

Gulftainer has welcomed the CMA CGM Alexander Von Humboldt container ship on its maiden voyage and call at the Khorfakkan Container Terminal at the Port of Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates. The 16,020-TEU CMA CGM Alexander Von Humboldt is one of three Explorer-class container vessels belonging to CMA CGM, and the second in a series after the CMA CGM Marco Polo. The vessel is 396 meters (1,299 feet) long and 177 feet wide with a draft of 52 feet. Following its UAE stopover, the ship will proceed to Port Klang, Malaysia, in early July, finally ending its maiden voyage at Ningbo, China, by July 10. The Journal of Commerce
