Emirates unveiled new expansion plans for Eastern Europe with the launch of daily service to Kyiv Boryspil International Airport in Kiev, marking its first route to the Ukraine.
The service will begin Jan. 16, 2014.
The service will be operated by an Airbus A340-500 and will provide global connections, via Dubai, to the Ukraine. With a thriving agricultural sector, the country is the world’s largest exporter of sunflower oil and a major global producer of grain and sugar.
Emirates’ Kiev service will help support key exports from the Ukraine with its belly hold capacity of 15 tonnes, transporting aircraft spares, heavy industry machinery equipment and ships spares.
