Hapag, Unifeeder to levy US$70-$102/box to St Petersburg, Ust-Luga

GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd and and Denmark's Unifeeder will levy a winter surcharge to St Petersburg and Ust-Luga from December 1. Unifeeder will charge EUR75 ($102.55) per teu from that date, and the surcharge will be extended to other destinations if severe conditions prevail. Hamburg-based Hapag-Lloyd will surcharge at a rate of $70 per container for boxes billed in dollars and EUR50 per box for those billed in euros.   Asian Shipper News
