Simatech Shipping Launches India-Mideast Service

Middle East-based Simatech Shipping has announced the launch of a new container service connecting Vallarpadam Transshipment Terminal, India, with Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates, starting this month. The container line is using three vessels with capacities of approximately 1,200 TEUs on the regional service. The port rotation is as follows: Chennai, India; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Vallarpadam (Cochin), Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo and back to Chennai. The first sailing from Vallarpadam is scheduled for Feb. 6.
