Hong Kong-based Trans Global Logistics has moved its Pakistan headquarters from Karachi to Lahore, to serve the large exporters that source goods in the region for export primarily to the US and Europe.
The company has also appointed Ahmad Raza as director & general manager of TGL Pakistan, to succeed managing director Shuja Baig who is retiring.
Raza has more than eighteen years of experience in the logistics industry, based in Pakistan. He joined Trans Global Pakistan in 1996, and headed up Lahore operations for the past several years.
Trans Global was one of the first logistics companies to launch a service network in Pakistan, with operations dating to 1994. The company was also one of the first service providers to use electronic technology to book and handle airfreight shipments.
The company has 46 offices in 22 countries in Asia, and has a Class A forwarder's licence in China and CAAC approvals.
