Work stoppage at Helsinki ports impacts DHL Global Freight

An unexpected work stoppage by Finnsteve halted all operations at both the West and Sompasaari Ports in Helsinki on Friday. The work stoppage began on at 09h30 (local time) on April 13th, but Finnsteve operations were expected to continue normally on Saturday at 06h00. The work stoppage impacted DHL Global Freight’s ocean and road freight services. All DHL GF import shipments handled within these ports were halted until Finnsteve operations resumed.
