South African Independent Liner Services (SAILS) is revising the sailing schedule for its North Europe/South Africa service by changing European ports and dropping a southbound stop in West Africa.
Calls at Flushing are being dropped, and Rotterdam and Antwerp introduced.
From North Europe the vessels will proceed directly to South Africa and a southbound call previously made at Tema is being missed out.
Thus the service will offer direct calls at Antwerp, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Capetown, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Capetown and back to Antwerp.
A 19 day transit is advertised for the southbound leg from Bremerhaven to Capetown, and 16 days back from Capetown to Antwerp.
Two 645 teu vessels, Emilia and Berta are deployed on the service that runs about 1-2 times per month.
