Mitsui OSK Lines has announced changes to its Asia-West Mediterranean service and Asia-North Europe services.
The MED service will make new calls at Jeddah, Pusan, Shekou and Valencia.
The service changes will allow MOL and other partners to maintain the service quality and provide better port coverage for customers.
For Asia-North Europe Services, MOL has revised its JEX and SCX services.
The JEX service has changed the rotation between Yantian and Hong Kong on the Eastbound voyage from December 2008, and will start calling at Jeddah from January 15th.
The revised port rotation is Kobe > Nagoya > Shimizu > Tokyo > Hong Kong > Yantian > Singapore > Rotterdam > Hamburg > Le Havre > Jeddah > Singapore > Yantian > Hong Kong > Kobe.
This new rotation will provide customers a direct access from Middle-East to Japan and the fastest transit from Hong Kong to Kobe.
Since November 3rd, a new deployment schedule has been implemented for the China - Europe service, merging the CEX service into the SCX service.
The revised port rotation is Ningbo > Shanghai > Xiamen > Hong Kong > Chiwan > Singapore > Colombo > Southampton > Zeebrugge > Hamburg > Rotterdam > Salalah > Singapore > Hong Kong > Ningbo.
This new SCX service enables MOL to maintain its customer service standards and quality. Colombo is added to ports in Asia and the first calling port in Europe will be Southampton instead of Thamesport.
Ports previously linked by CEX are now covered by other TNWA services, e.g. Yantian by JEX, Thamesport by AEX and Antwerp by LP2.
