Pacific International Lines (PIL) and Wan Hai Lines (WHL) have reached an agreement with the members of the ABX service on the Asia-Black Sea trade. These members include China Shipping Container Lines, (CSCL), “K” Line and Yang Ming, whereby, both groups will rationalize their respective services into one, deploying eight 4,250 TEU Panamax-size vessels.
CSCL will deploy 4 vessels, “K” Line, PIL, WHL and Yang Ming will contribute one vessel each in the restructured service. The revised port coverage is Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Damietta, Istanbul, Constantza, Ilichevsk, Damietta, Shanghai.
The first sailing will be on January 15, 2009 from Shanghai.
