In view of the recent market conditions Zim has decided to reconfigure its services in the trade between the Mediterranean and the East Coast of South America with immediate effect.
This will be achieved by combining the present two-string operation into one weekly service. The Port of Tarragona has been added as a regular port of call.
Zim believes the port is well positioned to become a significant gateway for Spain and the larger markets - with a deep-water port, expansion capability along with supporting adjacent logistic centers to serve all customers’ needs.
The revised service will be run by seven 3,500 TEU to 4,200 TEU vessels and will have the following rotation: Valencia, Tarragona, Barcelona, Livorno, Vado Ligure, Malta, Dakar, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Pecem, Valencia trade.
