8/7/2009 9:39:00 AM

On 6 August, 2009, in Long Binh ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai the Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD joint stock company has organized  the Opening Ceremony and announced the decision to establish the  customs clearance point - Tan Cang - Long Binh ICD.

Located in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD joint stock company has got an important position in the most dynamic, potential and strategic area belonging to the South focal economic areas.

Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD is accessible  to the National Highways  No 1 & No 51 by road, to the ports of Dong Nai river and Binh Duong Province by waterway as well as to the national railway by railway,  Tan Cang- Long Binh and other facilities have created a perfect logistic network available for the receipt/ delivery of the cargoes  in Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Baria Vung tau provinces. Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD  has got a total area of 80 hectares and it  is capable for the throughput of 500,000 teus/year –about 10 million of tons of cargo through the warehouses. As per the major plan, Tan Cang- Long Binh has got 3 main sections: 23 hectares of CY, the warehouses of all kinds on an area of 50 hectares, the offices  and service area with 7 hectares and Tan Cang –Long Binh ICD will be the first ICD in Vietnam applying the  E- customs process.

Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD has received more and more demands of the customers for the cargo services, especially the services for the bounded warehouse storing the materials, equipments, machines serving the manufacturing in the area.

Especially in the recent time, when the deep sea terminals in Thi Vai Cai Mep start the operation since June 2009, a lot of shipping lines have the plan to transport  import-export cargo directly form Vietnam to the USA or European countries instead of going through the trans-shipment hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea….Therefore big shipping lines such as Maersk, APL, MOL, Hanjin e.t.c have plans of building the bounded distribution centre for the materials, accessories, spare parts, components contributing to the strategic place in Vietnam. The establishment of the bounded centre like this shall help the investors and companies in the Southern Focal Economic area to be more initiative in their manufacture, to reduce the operation cost and enhance their competitiveness.
