Jade Cargo will later this month launch a twice-weekly scheduled service from Shanghai Pudong to Istanbul Ataturk Airport, continuing on to Amsterdam.
"Istanbul, the Turkish industrial capital, figures prominently in Jade Cargo's strategic vision," said Su Xiufeng, executive vice-president finance and corporate affairs.
"Istanbul constitutes a balanced market," said Reto Hunziker, executive vice-president sales and product.
"Jade Cargo and its general sales agent have been successful in identifying import and export potentials of the Turkish market to China as well as to Europe [Amsterdam]. We are confident that our offer to the Turkish air cargo market will thrive and grow as Jade Cargo further develops its global network."
Kay Kratky, chief executive officer of Jade Cargo International, said the addition of Istanbul to Jade's network was the only scheduled cargo service between Turkey and China.
