Hapag-Lloyd said it will implement a general rate increase from Canadian Pacific Coast ports to ports in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
The increase will be $150 for 20-foot containers and $300 for 40-foot containers. The following commodities are excluded:
• Agricultural products, including pulses, beans and lentils.
• Paper/Forest products, including lumber, woodpulp, kraft linerboard, sack paper and newsprint/directory paper.
