COSCO adds peak season transpacific service

COSCO Container Lines will launch a standalone, peak season transpacific service on June 29, according to the carrier's Americas Web site.

The weekly service, which is scheduled to run until October, according to the maritime news service Alphaliner, and will be operated with five 5,000-TEU vessels, with a rotation of Shanghai, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Long Beach and Shanghai.

Alphaliner said it will be the 11th new service added on the transpacific this year.
