7/12/2010 10:08:05 AM

Chilean carrier CSAV will launch a weekly container ship service at the end of July to connect north and central China with South Africa.

The New Discovery service will be CSAV’s third in South Africa. The service will use seven 2,500-TEU ships on a rotation of Xingang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Cape Town, Singapore and Xingang.

With the start of the new service, CSAV will discontinue calls at Durban on the carrier’s AXAS service.
