Liner carrier Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd is about to change the rotation of its East Med Express Service - EMX service between Asia and the Black Sea.
The service which operates ten container vessels, all provided by Zim, have an average capacity of TEU 4,313.
The revised rotation, effective December 30, eliminates a westbound call at Xiamen and replaces it with Qingdao.
The service will also stop calling Xiamen and Da Chan Bay eastbound (though Da Chan Bay is retained westbound).
The revised rotation is: Qingdao – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo - Da Chan Bay - Port Klang – Colombo – Haifa – Ashdod – Istanbul – Novorossiysk – Costanza – Izmir – Haifa - Nhava Sheva – Colombo - Port Klang - Qingdao.
The Grand Alliance, consisting of Hapag-Lloyd (Germany), MISC Berhad (Malaysia), NYK (Japan), and OOCL (Hong Kong) take slots on the service, as does China Shipping.
