K-Line has upgraded its West Africa Express (WAX) service to a weekly service with an additional Singapore call on both west and eastbound.
Eleven 2,500 TEU vessels will be deployed on the 77-day round-trip service: two each from K-Line and Hapag-Lloyd, four from China Shipping and three from NYK - the remaining 3 coming from Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) - the newest shipping line to join the service.
Effective August 23rd, the new WAX port rotation will be: Shanghai > Ningbo > Xiamen > Shekou > Singapore > Port Kelang > Durban (South Africa) > Tema (Ghana) > Lome (Togo) > Cotonou (Benin) > Tincan Island (Nigeria) > Durban > Port Kelang > Singapore > Shanghai.
