DHL has launched yet another new direct LCL service – this time from Shanghai to Seattle, reported New Zealand Transport Intelligence Briefing.
Operated by DHL's in-house carrier, Danmar Lines, the new direct weekly LCL service will cover freight moving from mainland China to Seattle and Portland on the US West Coast.
The new service can reduce the overall transit time between China and the US by four days, compared to current service transit times. With cargo shipped directly from Shanghai to Seattle, customers can expect their shipments to arrive in the US within 12 days.
DHL has been expanding its LCL network in China, and currently operates more than 30 direct LCL services between China and the US.
