Due to rising fuel costs, Chilean flagship carrier LAN Airlines will cancel flights between Peru's capital, Lima, and Brazilian capital Brasilia, starting October 20, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
Earlier this year, LAN decided to suspend its Santiago-Paris and Santiago-Toronto flights and announced it would be increasing ticket prices for its international routes between eight and 12 percent because of rising fuel costs.
LAN recently said fuel costs surged 46 percent in the second quarter, compared with a year earlier.
