APL and Pacific International Lines will launch a new a new joint service linking the Far East and Red Sea next month.
Eight vessels of 6,000-TEU capacity — three operated by APL and five by PIL — will be deployed on the service.
Japanese carrier MOL has also announced it would start a new weekly China-Middle East next month.
The first vessel will leave Shanghai on June 21, and the service will have the following rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Chiwan – Nansha – Singapore – Djibouti – Aden – Jeddah – Sukhna – Aqaba – Djibouti – Singapore – Nansha – Shanghai.
