In early July the liner carrier Maersk Line will change the westbound hub on its West Mediterranean (Westmed) transatlantic service from Malaga to Port Tangier.
Maersk operates the Westmed with CMA CGM, which dubs the service Amerigo Express.

The first vessel sailing on the revised Westmed will be the CMA CGM Jamaica, expected to depart Tangier on July 6.
The revised rotation will be Marsaxlokk, Livorno, Genoa, Marseilles-Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Port Tangiers, Newark, Norfolk, Savannah, Algeciras, and Marsaxlokk.
The eastbound hub will remain Algeciras.
The service is operated with six vessels (four from Maersk and two from CMA CGM) with an average capacity of 4,287 TEUs. Hapag-Lloyd, MOL, and Maersk subsidiary Safmarine take slots.
